The validity of driving licences has been extended.
The transport department published an amendment to Directions to combat Covid-19 in Government Gazette 46143.
The Directions were drawn up in terms of Disaster Management Act Regulations.
The extension applies to all learner’s licences, driving licence cards, temporary driving licences and professional driving permits that expired between 26 March 2020 and 31 March 2022.
Validity is now extended until 15 April 2022.
The amendment came into effect on the date of publication.
