The incoming sixth administration will focus on implementation of the National Development Plan (NDP) and plans that feed into the NDP.

The presidency announced this in a statement following president Ramaphosa’s interaction with representatives of leading companies and financial institutions in Johannesburg.

The statement added that implementation would be driven by “men and women with great competence and capability to serve the people of South Africa so that we can secure economic growth”.

According to the presidency, the “structure of Cabinet in the sixth administration will enable government to focus on generating higher economic growth, creating more jobs and serving the people of South Africa better”.

As regards land reform, president Ramaphosa told the forum that land reform will be undertaken within the framework of the Constitution and the law.

He added that the programme would be orderly and would include participation by all South Africans.
