Sector Education and Training Authorities Re-Established

Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETA) have been re-established.

The higher education and training department announced the re-establishment of the SETAs within a new SETA landscape in Government Gazette 42589.

The SETAs are in place from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2030.

The department also pointed out that the Mining Qualifications Authority is re-established for a period of two years from 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2022.

27 SETAs are listed including Financial and Accounting Services SETA (FASSET), Banking Sector Education & Training Authority (BANKSETA), Construction Education & Training Authority (CETA), Food & Beverages Manufacturing Industry (FOODBEV), Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA), Agriculture Sector Education and Training Authority (AgriSETA), Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA) and Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W &RSETA).

The main activities of each SETA are also listed.
