Road Traffic Infringement Agency Board Seeks Members

The transport department seeks comment on proposed appointments to the Road Traffic Infringement Agency (RTIA) Board.

The call for comment was published in Government Gazette 43471.

The RTIA is tasked with administering a procedure to discourage the contravention of road traffic laws and to support the adjudication of infringements; enforcing penalties imposed against persons contravening road traffic laws; providing specialised prosecution support services and undertaking community education and community awareness programmes in order to ensure that individuals understand their rights and options.

The notice contains a list of potential non-executive Board member appointees.

Comments or objections are invited until 6 July 2020.
