NERSA Seeks Part-Time Members

The National Energy Regulator (NERSA) seeks part-time members.

The mineral resources and energy department published the call for nominations in Government Gazette 45356 in terms of the National Energy Regulator Act.

According to the notice, NERSA consists of four full-time regulator members and five part-time regulator members.

Part-time members serve a four-year term.

Nominations are invited until 19 November 2021.

Meanwhile, in Gazette 45352, the National Nuclear Regulator announced that Eskom has made an application for a nuclear vessel licence to enable a non-nuclear powered vessel to dock in Cape Town harbour for two days in June 2022 in order to transport nuclear fuel destined for the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station.

The application was made in terms of the National Nuclear Regulator Act.

Representations are invited within 30 days of the date of publication.
