National Space Agency Board Seeks Members

The National Space Agency Board seeks members.

The science and innovation department published the call for nominations in Government Gazette 45943 in terms of the South African National Space Agency Act.

The National Space Agency seeks to, inter alia, promote the peaceful use of space; support the setting up of an environment conducive to industrial development in space technology; foster research in space science, communications, navigation and space physics; advance scientific, engineering and technological competencies and capabilities via human capital development outreach programmes and infrastructure development and foster international cooperation in space-related activities.

The Board consists of a chairperson and 10 to 15 other members that serve on a part-time basis for four years.

Nominations are invited until 15 March 2022.
