National Electronic Media Institute Seeks Board Members

Non-executive members of the Board of the National Electronic Media Institute of South Africa (NEMISA) are sought.

The telecommunications and postal services department published the invitation for nominations on its website.

Nominations are also sought for non-executive directors of the State Information Technology Agency (SITA).

In terms of NEMISA, candidates are sought with proven skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience in the ICT sector: Academia; Research; Innovation; Digital Transformation and Multimedia; Data and Computer Science.

As regards SITA, proven skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience in the ICT sector will be an added advantage focusing on Block chain; Internet of Things (IoTs); Digital Transformation Skills; Cybersecurity; Intellectual Property and Commercialisation and Business skills.

Meanwhile, in another invitation, the department also seeks nominations for appointment as non-executive members of the Board of the Universal Service and Access Agency of South Africa (USAASA).

Candidates with the following proven skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience in the ICT sector: Telecoms; Electrical Engineering; Information and Communications Technology; Fund Management; Retail Banking; Public Sector Administration/Management; Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance Management, Financial Reporting, and Auditing; Legal with Corporate Law and Corporate Governance and Contracts will be considered for appointment to the Board.

Nominations for the three Boards are invited until 20 September 2019.
