Ministerial Order on Foreign Air Services Operators’ Permits Issued

The transport minister, Fikile Mbalula, has issued a Ministerial Order regarding foreign air services operators’ permits.

The transport department announced the Ministerial Order in Government Gazette 44449 in terms of the Civil Aviation Act.

The order stipulates that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) shall allow foreign operators who’s permit has expired and submitted a renewal application to operate until further notice or until the International Air Services Council (IASC) is appointed whichever comes first.

It also orders that the CAA shall allow non-scheduled operators that submitted applications and got the green light from the CAA in terms of safety to operate until further notice or the IASC is appointed whichever comes first.

The order shall remain in force until replaced by a subsequent order or until the IASC is appointed.
