January 25, 2021

Department of Transport

Nominations are sought for members of the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (AARTO) Appeals Tribunal.

The transport department called for nominations in Government Gazette 44092.

The Appeals Tribunal was set up to adjudicate on matters brought to it by road traffic infringers aggrieved by decisions taken in terms of the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences Amendment Act.

It also is tasked with hearing appeals or reviewing any decision referred to it and making any ruling or order necessary or incidental to the performance of its functions in terms of the act.

Appeals Tribunal members serve a five-year term and can be appointed for one additional term.

Nominations are invited within four weeks of the date of publication.
