The closing date for written submissions on the review of Section 25 of the Constitution has been extended.
The Joint Constitutional Review Committee announced the extension in a statement.
The Committee was tasked with reviewing Section 25 of the Constitution and proposing constitutional amendments to allow for the expropriation of land in the public interest without compensation.
Comment is now invited until 15 June 2018.
The Committee will also hold hearings from 26 June 2018 to 6 August 2018 in all nine provinces.
Oral submissions will be heard in parliament from 7 to 17 August 2018.
The plan is for a final report to be completed by 11 September 2018.
