Directions on Combating COVID-19 in the Public Transport Services Amended

Directions on preventing and combating the spread of COVID-19 in the public transport services have been amended.

The amended Directions were published in Government Gazette 43716 in terms of Disaster Management Act Regulations.

An amendment is introduced to Direction 8 stipulating that game drive vehicles are permitted to carry 100% licensed passenger capacity.

In Gazette 43717, the transport department announced an amendment to Directions to combat COVID-19 in the air services.

An amendment to Direction 5 adds Plettenberg Bay Airport, Polokwane Airport and Sishen Airport to the list of domestic airports at which domestic passenger flights are permitted.

Both amendments came into effect on the date of publication.
