Competition Commission Lodges Complaint Against Dis-Chem Pharmacies

The Competition Commission has lodged a complaint against Dis-Chem Pharmacies Ltd in terms of the Competition Act.

The economic development department published notification of the complaint referral in Government Gazette 43316.

The Competition Tribunal has also received a complaint from the Commission on the alleged engagement in a prohibited practice by Babelegi Workwear Overall Manufacturers and Industrial Supplies CC.

In Notice 268, the Competition Tribunal announced the approval of mergers.

Mergers include the acquisition of Festigen Investments (Pty) Ltd in respect of the letting enterprise known as River Crescent Centre by Flameup Investments (Pty) Ltd; the Rental Enterprise Comprising the Samrand Data Centre and the underlying land by Africa Data Centres (Pty) Ltd and the Remaining Gold Mining South African Operations of AngloGold Ashanti Ltd by Harmony Gold Mining Company Ltd, Harmony Moab Khotsong Operations (Pty) Ltd and Golden Core Trade and Invest (Pty) Ltd.
