Agricultural Produce Agents Council Seeks New Members

The Agricultural Produce Agents Council (APAC) seeks new members.

The agriculture, land reform and rural development department published the call for nominations of potential members of APAC in Government Gazette 44064.

The call was made in terms of the Agricultural Produce Agents Act.

According to the notice, the term of office of members of APAC will expire on 4 March 2021.

APAC regulates the occupations of fresh produce, export and livestock agents and maintains and enhances the “status and dignity of those occupations and the integrity of persons practicing those occupations”.

Appointees will serve a three-year term.

Nominations are invited until 29 January 2021.
