2021 Guideline Professional Fees for Planners Set Down

Guideline professional fees for planners for 2021 have been set down.

The agriculture, land reform and rural development department published the guideline professional fees in Government Gazette 44089 in terms of the Planning Profession Act.

The South African Council for Planners determined the fees.

Top practitioners whose expertise and relevant experience is nationally or internationally recognized will charge a rate per hour of R2 720, professional planners R2 330 per hour and candidate planners R1 420 per hour.

Guideline rates for 2022 are also set down.

The fees came into effect on the date of publication and shall apply in respect of any stage of professional service, which is started with, on, or after the date of commencement.

In Notice 14, the department also announced that rules as a guideline on the method of the calculation of professional fees to be charged by professional planners and technical planners have been drawn up.

The rules also came into effect on the date of publication.
